It may be winter, but everything is about to heat up as Soccer's biggest tournament is here. Heading to the biggest stage for the 7th time, the Socceroo's will be hoping to build on their performance in 2022, where they narrowly lost in the Last 16 to the eventual champions, Argentina.
Having qualified for their 6th straight Finals, manager Tony Popovic will be heading to North America hoping Australia are able to make their mark Stateside. They start by playing games against Co-Hosts USA as well as Paraguay and Türkiye.
Let us first break down how you can use bet365 during soccer's showpiece event.

How Are Player Markets Affected by Extra Time?
Here at bet365 we offer a number of Player Markets ranging from 'Anytime Goalscorer' to 'Total Saves' meaning you can predict what is going to happen at both ends of the pitch.
For this year's competition, we are now extending play. This means that your bets on select Player Markets, which can be identified by the 'ET Includes Extra Time' label, will now carry over to extra time if the game is tied after 90 minutes (excluding penalties). So, if you've bet on a player to Score At Any Time and they score right at the end of extra time, your bet will be settled as a win. If you've placed a bet with Sub On Play On, this will also be extended into extra time so you can enjoy the game right to the end.
For all information on Player Markets and how they are settled, please see here.
What other markets are on Offer?
Aside from Player markets, we also have a range of Match and Team markets for you to pick from. This includes markets such as 'Both Teams to Score' and 'Double Chance'.
However, bets such as these are still settled within regulation time and therefore do not include Extra Time. Look out for the '90+ stoppage time' and the 'ET Includes Extra Time' stickers to determine how your bet will be settled.
What is Futures Betting?
As well as the above markets, you can also take advantage of our Futures. These are markets which allow you to predict what is going to happen in the Tournament as a whole. This includes 'Top Goalscorer, 'To Reach Final' and winning 'Continent'.
Another such market would also be to 'Win Outright'.
To 'Win Outright' simply means that you are selecting a country to win the entire tournament.
If you think the Socceroos will lift the trophy, ensure your bet slip looks like the below to place this bet.
What's a Same Game Multi?
Same Game Multi (SGM) allows you to create customised bets. You can choose from a variety of popular markets to combine into a single bet. Bets created using the Same Game Multi feature can also be included in multiples combined across multiple games, making a larger Multi.
Midfield maestro Jackson Irvine and goalkeeper Maty Ryan have been mainstays in the big European soccer leagues, and could be vital to helping Australia succeed on the field.
If you think Irvine and Ryan will produce their best performances this World Cup, Same Game Multi will be able to combine the Goalscorer and Total Saves market, allowing you to make one combined bet.
Good to know
If a player selection within a pre-match SGM is voided, the entire bet will be recalculated. If a match market within SGM is voided, the entire bet is voided.
More information on Same Game Multi can be found here.
